I was very skeptical when I bought it but I am EXTREMELY happy with it. My intention was to make my Custom PC hook up to my 50 Inch Screen TV without all wire hassles. Believe the review you see about how 60GHz frequency works. That's the beauty of mount it comes in with. However, you really have to do triall and error to find the best positioning of optimal performance without cutting it out. Because it tends to either lag or black out for 2 seconds when you walk by or stand in front it. It is not exactly directly line of sight sensitive. I have a french glass door and I saw one review where he/she actually hooked DVDO into media box stand with glass small door and it keeps cutting off when you close the door. Mine didn't it still kept streaming when I close mine and it is GREAT! Those 2 are not exactly in line of sight but I did the best to keep it out in the open without being in way of traffic. It would appear that it ONLY depends what building structure your house is and floor plan. My wall isn't thick enough to cause DVDO to cut out. I cannot complain any further. I love the fact it comes with its own HDMI cables. Fortunately, I only used one out of it and that's for the TV. I have my own for PC as it can reach to DVD from where it is sitting. I love the fact that Receiver only needs to be powered via USB, which I plug it into TV. But it has its own USB wall outlet adapter if needed, just be mindful of short cable. It is LITERALLY easy to set up. It only took me 5 mins to set it up CLOSE to each other other and I mean CLOSE like....6 inches to each other before it make it separate up to 10 feet. It worked on second try due to PC settings issue not the DVDO. I had to ensure that my PC is displaying correctly. Once, I had it working and of course, I had to try it with my PS3 and it worked amazingly awesome! The only issue I have is still cable. I just simply wrap it together to get it out of line of sight to keep it clean. You wonder why I gave it a 4 instead of 5? Because I'm PURELY being honest at it. I'm just an average Geek that I take time to review on certain products to help give out my opinion and hopefully it matters to some people. It does bother me that it does cut off only when something is in the way. Not exactly like 2.4GHz products that have no problem passing through ANYTHING.
