The HP Stream laptop sports bright colors and a sleek design that’s perfect for your home or office. A swift Intel Celeron processor works in tandem with 2GB of RAM to facilitate swift, fluid multitasking among apps, websites, and media.

Intuitive Operating System
Tracking down your favorite and most-used apps and files is easy with the Windows 8.1 operating system, which arranges your content into a series of customizable colored tiles. And if the new look isn’t your bag, you can easily revert the Windows interface you know and love.

About HP

When iconic company HP was born in 1939, it was not in a gleaming laboratory or during a late-night study session at a prestigious university. It was in a 12’x18’ garage that contained only a workbench and a used drill press. University friends Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard sold audio equipment to Disney (which used them during Fantasia production) and became HP soon after. Their humble garage is now marked with a plaque bearing the title “Birthplace of Silicon Valley.”

HP’s innovations laid the groundwork for the Valley’s surge in technological advances. Between the creation of the first handheld computer, which connected to printers and cassette drives, and development of speedier 64-bit processing technology currently used by brands like Apple and Microsoft, HP cemented itself as an architect of current tech trends like the tablet and smartphone. It’s a community-conscious company, too; HP has donated to charity since 1940 and offers free recycling for all electronics, regardless of brand, at Staples.

Purchased this computer in 2015, I'm still using it in 2017. It was in good condition, I didn't use it for a whole year. Still works. However, if you are trying to update it to Windows 10. I wouldn't, I had to factory reset the whole computer. So, I'm nervous when it wants to update. Other than that, nice computer. Looking to update soon.

Have have this computer for over a year now, still holding up. Only used for homework and light research. Charger did break but that might have been because of misuse, cheap replacement found on Amazon.

I didn't expect this laptop to last more than a year but it's going strong at 1.5 years. It was tough updating to Windows 10 because the memory is so limited but in the end I succeeded using a flash drive. There are slight problems with the wireless connection if I put my laptop in my backpack and it gets shaken up too much, but if I reset the wireless adapter, it usually works again. It's cute and portable and great at doing simple tasks. I bought it because it can't handle too much at one time, which means no 100 Chrome tabs to get distracted by, no high-power Steam games (mostly only pixelated), and I'd have to focus on my work.

This laptop went kaput in a year! The software for a law school exam simply stopped working on the day of my exam. This laptop has very little memory, and gets extremely slow as you take up more of the low memory it has. This is very disappointing because I was excited about this computer. A laptop should not go kaput after a year, it is unacceptable.

My laptop worked alright for approximately 5 months and began slowing, along with needing to be shut down to reboot. The screen has now discontinued working completely and it no longer functions. Very sad customer.

I purchased this for my daughter's birthday. It never would connect to the internet. I looked and the manufactures warranty ran out and so now I have just wasted the money I paid. I am going to see if they will still help me.

Very basic - very small screen - doesn't work well with my internet connection (though this may not be the computers fault).

It's very cute, and for the first month I had it worked great, but then kept getting constantly told to update to windows 10 and the first time I tried it didn't work, the second time I tried it broke the computer all together, now it's a useless paperweight cause the windows 8.1 and all the other preinstalled programs were corrupted after the update

I am very disappointed with this being an HP. I got this for my grandson who's birthday was in late August. By Mid January, the keyboard stopped working completely. The screen is fine, and the mouse still works. The power button works, but none of the other keys work at all. I am unable to even get it to go into boot mode so I can try to go into the properties and such and see whats going on with it. Refurbished or not, I expected more than 3.5 mos from a HP product. Unhappy Grandma
