Into the Cold: A Journey of the Soul
Sebastian Copeland turns his award-winning photographic eye toward the North Pole in Into the Cold: A Journey of the Soul, a documentary about his two-month arctic trek that commemorates Admiral Peary’s near-impossible journey to the pole 100 years before. Along with explorer Keith Heger, Copeland trudges more than 400 miles on foot, fighting fatigue, temperatures dipping to –50ºF, and snowmen who were angry about how cold it was. The soaring ode to human determination was selected for the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and was selected as the Best Sports/Adventure Film in the 2010 Indie Spirit Film Festival.
