Mr. Coffee 32oz. Max Brew Coffee Press
Richer, Fuller Coffee
The coffee press—also known as the French press—uses pressure and a fine mesh filter to make a smooth cup of morning joe. Unlike makers that use a paper filter, the mesh filter allows the beans’ natural oils and fiber into the brew, resulting in a richer, rounder flavor.
How to Use A Coffee Press
Start off by adding the grinds to the glass carafe. A coarse grind works best for French presses, as the larger grains won’t seep through the holes of the mesh press screen. Next, fill the press up about a third of way with hot water and give the mixture a stir. After letting the blend sit for about 30 seconds, you can add the rest of your hot water and cover the carafe, allowing it to steep for about four minutes. After this short brewing period, press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the liquid, and your coffee will be ready to pour.
With no paper filters, a coffee press generates less waste than most traditional coffeemakers. After a brew, all that’s left to dispose of is the grounds, which are biodegradable and can be composted or thrown in your garden.

About Mr. Coffee
The humble Mr. Coffee is, in fact, a revolutionary. Prior to the 1972 debut of the Mr. Coffee automatic-drip coffeemaker, coffee was most often brewed at home in a percolator, which usually contributed an unpleasant, burned taste. The automatic machine’s use of a constant brewing temperature traded this bitter taste for rich, well-rounded flavor. In two years, more than a million coffeemakers were sold. Today, though the brand has ditched the yellow gingham print found on their original machine, Mr. Coffee continues to produce coffeemakers that make use of the latest technologies, from brewing single-serving cups to making lattes and hot chocolate right in the pot.
