Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition Tablet with WiFi

Many tablets showcase precise touchscreen controls, but few show the optimized stylus control of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

Intuitive S Pen Controls

The Galaxy’s S pen stylus lets you scrawl in phone numbers, self-reminders, or a list of people who took a penny but never gave one; a handwriting-to-text engine then automatically converts your notes to text. The S pen integrates a wealth of other features, such as dragging and dropping content across multiple app windows and toggling the Galaxy’s Air Command menu for fast access to settings and functions.

Immersive Media Experience

The Transcend display boasts 2 million more pixels than most HDTVs for vivid colors and lifelike definition, and Virtual Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound booms from the built-in stereo speakers.

Easier Multi-Tasking

Samsung’s Multi Window can open multiple apps—or different instances of the same app—side-by-side. Drag-and-drop content, compare webpages, or draft multiple emails at the same time. The Exynos 5 Octa processor combines two quad-core processors for powerful speed while multitasking.

About Samsung

In the 70 years of its existence, Samsung has grown into an international company with interests spanning from home electronics to skyscraper construction. The company takes its global role seriously, working to improve communities with both its financial support and the expertise of its talented employees. The company’s Solve for Tomorrow competition, for instance, challenges kids to create videos that demonstrate how science and math can be used in new ways to improve their local environment. After screening the videos of thousands of worthy entrants and dozens of confused American Idol hopefuls, Samsung chooses five winners, whose schools each receive $110,000 in technology. Solve for Tomorrow is just one of the company’s outreach initiatives, which align with its philosophy: to help build a “better global society.”

Writing with the stylus is great with no palm interference. I would have liked a regular sized sd card slot rather than micro but it still works perfectly. Better than ipad for productivity, writing etc, not as much for gaming apps. Great screen.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 tablet arrived earlier than advised. I just love it and easily exceeded my expectations as far as performance for the tasks I purchased it for. The screen resolution easily beats my wife's Apple iPad's Retina screen. Best value for the money!!

Bought this for the S Pen and to take notes. S Note works really well, but I wish it was more customizable. I ended up going with LectureNotes. As for the actual Galaxy Note 10.1 device, it is extremely fast and very solid. I enjoy it for more than just taking notes.

Great tablet. My wife had the predecessor, which was great for school, and documentation at work, but something was off. Microsoft Office wasn't a great match for Android devices, so we thought about getting a Windows tablet. At Best Buy we found out the Kit Kat operating system has a app that is compatible. Now everything is great, and I didn't have to buy an $800+ tablet.

This product is dissappointing. There is a lot of lag when you click and try to load apps. Literally sometimes you wait for 2-3 seconds before your touch is sensed. I tried several launchers e.g. Nova, Apus and one other popular and recommended one. Though it did help to remove some lag it was not up to it. I have an iPad too and the touch and response is instantaneous. I am not sure why this Samsung product has this problem but this is basic thing that you click and it loads immediately. Especially it boasts of a quad core processing power. Another problem is touch point. E.g. I believe I am touching the X close button but it does not sense it correctly. I have to try several times before it registers my touch. I observer that I have to touch slightly on the upper side of the icon or button for it to register the touch to that icon. Not that something I have experienced with the iPad. I believe that it is still worth paying that extra $100 for the iPad than buy this Samsung product.
