Vizio 55” Full-Array LED 4K Ultra HD HDR TV Home Theater Display
Forged from refined metals and designed with a thinner profile, this sleek and high-tech TV is as stylish as it is efficient. It even comes with a 6” Android tablet remote and the accompanying SmartCast app, which offers you control over every aspect of the TV’s playback and online interface.
Smarter Than Your Average TV
Integrated into this SmartCast TV is Google Cast, a Smart interface that operates using the same technology as Google Chromecast. What that means is you gain access to popular online streaming apps such as Vudu and Pandora, as well as Google apps that you would normally use on your Android smartphone’s much smaller display.
Rich, Cinematic Picture
4K Ultra HD resolution supports an almost uncannily realistic picture. 4K refers to Ultra HD’s more than 8 million pixels—about four times as many as 1080p Full HD resolution—which saturate the display so completely that images retain their lifelike detail regardless of how close or far you are from the screen. This pixel density also supports heightened picture quality for non-4K content.
Clear Action, Minimal Blur
The 120Hz refresh rate delivers a picture that’s smooth and easy to follow by completely rebuilding it 120 times per second. This virtually eliminates blur, preserving a high level of detail even in fast-action entertainment such as action movies and live sports.
Enhanced Brightness and Depth
LEDs boost brightness, creating a brilliant picture that’s easy to see whether you’re curled up for a late movie or getting ready for a noon kickoff. Striking black and white levels give images more pop, contribute to a more realistic sense of depth, and amplify shadows and other lighting effects. LEDs also consume little power, making them more energy efficient than other forms of display lighting.
HDMI and USB: Connect to More Content
An HDMI port connects high-definition components such as a Blu-ray player, cable box, or Roku Streaming Stick directly to your HDTV. USB input pushes your TV’s connectivity even further, letting you do things such as view photos or listen to music saved on thumb drives, digital cameras, and other USB sources.

Launching in 2002, when rival companies had been selling TVs for decades, Vizio may be a relative newcomer to the TV market, but it hit the ground running. By 2007, it sold the most LCD TVs in America. Its runaway success is thanks in large part to its bread-and-butter HDTV, the LED-backlit 1080p set that can be found in most living rooms. Yet the company also takes chances on the latest technologies. In 2015, for instance, it launched what is arguably one of the most high-end sets ever produced—the $130,000 Reference Series, a 120” 4K set with support for more than one billion colors and integrated 5.1-channel surround sound. While the hefty price tag will deter most TV shoppers, Vizio will inevitably find a way to pack the cutting-edge technologies into a more consumer-friendly set—the approach to TV-making that brought it success in the first place.
