Westinghouse Interactive Touchscreen Whiteboard Displays

Part HDTV, part tablet, these touchscreen displays are perfect for giving presentations. Built-in whiteboard software lets you write and draw directly on the display so you can present ideas to a room full of people.

Touchscreen HDTV
These interactive whiteboards are essentially touchscreen HDTVs. The giant displays are pre-loaded with digital whiteboard software that lets you write and draw directly on the screen with up to six fingers or styluses simultaneously.

Sharp High Definition
Presentations come to life with bright colors and rich details on these high-definition displays. The 55” and 65” models boast a 1080p Full HD resolution that renders sharp, easy-to-read text and clear graphics. For applications where image quality is paramount, the 84” model uses a 4K UHD resolution to make videos and photos look incredibly lifelike.

Connect to Anything
A wide range of ports on the back of these displays lets you connect to practically any device with a video output. Two HDMI inputs connect to Full HD video sources, letting you use the displays to their full potential, while VGA and USB ports let you show slideshows from a computer or USB flash drive.

It's a good display, but it also weighs 260lb, which is twice as much as most consumer-grade 84" TV you'll find in the market. It works well as a presentation display but not as an entertainment system. The price is decent, but it's not that attractive if you're willing to wait for the general prices to drop or if you really want to use it for movies. You can get 3D 84" 60+Hz 4k TV for $5000-6000 and a separate 6-point USB touch bezel for $500-2000. Here're the pros and cons to consider. Pros: - 84" 4k at 30Hz with decent picture and okay sound - Integrated 6-point infrared touch bezel - Compact i5 attached PC - The main frame of the stand is sturdy - Touch latency is low enough for regular presentation and drawing Cons: - This TV weighs 260 lbs, which is twice as heavy as most consumer graded 84" TV's. The weight of the TV started to bend the mounting bracket after a day. The stand's frames seems to hold up okay, but finding a replacement stand for 260lb load is not easy. The stand is taller than a usual TV stand and not designed for sit-down viewing. - Only supports 30Hz at 4k 2160p. You'll need 60Hz for good quality videos/games when they finally come out. - Touch frame is unreliable. The lower 1/3 screen did not respond to touch when it arrived. It started working after some pressing on the bezel. After a few days, the top portion became sporadic. Again, it started working after some pressing. It seems like there is a loose connection. No on-site replacement if this ever fails again. The warranty will need you to ship the whole TV back for repair. - Touch latency is noticeable and is not suitable for software that requires a quick response. - The PC module is only a 4th generation i5-4440. It's integrated video processor HD4600 will not play 4k video smoothly and has audio-video lag for 1080p videos. The fan for the PC module is noisy. So, you'll most likely use your own PC/streaming device if you need a quiet system that can smoothly play videos. - Only 2 HDMI ports. No TV decoder or coaxial input. - You need to point the infrared remote fairly close to the sensor for control.

Big and beautiful screen purchased for a university office. Did not buy the optional PC module, just hooked it up to PC laptop (with HDMI for video and USB for touch screen) and it worked right away. The screen is absolutely beautiful. For presentation, for showing web pages or PDF files, for video, this seems to be an excellent machine and a truly amazing value at this price. Negatives are as follows: 1. II don't think it is possible to use the 4K resolution and the 120 refresh rate at the same time. (Standard HDMI connection doesn't support this. This seems to be an issue with most large digital whiteboards you see now.) With 4K you have to use the 30 refresh rate, which is mostly fine but can be a little bit choppy (you can see jumps when you move the mouse around quickly). 2. The groupon product description says "preloaded whiteboard software" but I think this refers to the optional PC module, which I didn't purchase. They do include a DVD with some software (which I have tried yet since I don't have an optical drive). I realized quickly that the various touch apps I have already installed on my computer don't support multi-touch, so I haven't been able to try the 6 point touch business yet. I just use one finger at a time and that works pretty well, but... 3. There is a noticeable lag, which makes it frustrating to try to write text on this board. So, just as writing on a tablet with a finger doesn't really replace pen and paper... writing on this won't really replace writing on a regular whiteboard. On the other hand it's great for presentation and for limited amounts of drawing. And I wonder whether there is some way to to reduce the lag. My conclusion is that if you can afford $22K for a Microsoft Surface (plus the mandatory thousands they charge for installation) that will probably be better than this as far as the whiteboard experience goes. On the other hand, this is a great 4K monitor for the price and the touch screen aspect is fun and effective for most applications.
