Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
There is no pressure in a
Dancehall Aerobics class. Some students say they can't dance but this is not a class where you have to be a dancer, its all about moving and having fun. I simplify
the dance steps so its easy to follow. Everyone keeps each
other motivated, we feed off each others energy.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I always been into fitness, I also taught
choreography classes in NYC. With my fitness and Dance background i decided to combine the two. Since than Dancehall Aerobics has open doors to a variety of students who are interested in the Jamaican dance culture, music as well as getting in shape.
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping and motivating people. I also love that I can give people the caribbean experience in my class and know that they are getting the real deal. I enjoy seeing the smiles on students faces and drenched shirts when they leave my class, its a reminder to me that I'm doing a good job.

The year 1986 was a health- and fitness-focused one. Mike Tyson became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in history, smoking was banned on all forms of public transportation, and Being-Fit opened its doors. The gym sought to supply its members with everything they needed to reach their personal fitness goals.
