More than 20 years ago, in her native Macau, Goretti Ngao Fong?s cousins purchased the family an upright piano. Within a few months Goretti attended her first lesson, and has been expertly tickling the ivories ever since. A veteran of many master classes and recitals, she now teaches piano to budding students of all ages at her eponymous studio. She focuses each private lesson on learning the instrument?s fundamentals, from playing scales to performing entire sonatas with your nose.
title: A2Z Health Massage Therapy School
html_text: Led by chiropractor, certified sports physician, and jack-of-all-musculoskeletal-trades Doctor of Chiropractic Ben Drillings, the instructors and staff at A2Z Health Massage Schools train students in the principles and techniques of massage. The school is licensed by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education and is a member of the California Massage Therapy Council, allowing it to produce massage technicians, massage therapists, and holistic bodywork practitioners. The massage-technician course requires 300 hours of specialized study, whereas massage therapists engage in 550 hours and holistic bodywork practitioners complete 1,000 hours to graduate. At A2Z Health Massage Schools’ students also gain firsthand experience practicing their lessons on the public. After their massages, clients assist in the learning process by giving students valuable feedback.
The staff members at Sylvan Learning's numerous centers understand that each child learns differently. Therefore, they don’t try to implement a uniform tutoring system; instead, they design custom lesson programs based on the results of a skills assessment using diagnostic tools and one-on-one interviews.
Tutors work with students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, illuminating topics ranging from basic reading and writing to remembering complex algebraic formulas without having them tattooed on your chest. Many of Sylvan’s instructors work in local schools, so they are intimately familiar with common curricula and understand how to gear lessons toward optimal results. Camps and after-school and summer classes can ready high-schoolers for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students to wow college-admissions officers with their superior essay-writing skills.
From the start, kids exhibit a natural ingenuity, whether they're building spaceships out of Legos or rearranging a sandbox's disorderly piles of sand into immaculate mounds of sand. This inherent affinity for problem solving is what the instructors at Sandbox Computers for Kids, Inc. help cultivate through a variety of kids' classes and programs. Through subjects such as robotics, programming, and game design, young students learn valuable skills to keep their minds engaged and develop a lifelong interest in science and technology. Whether its through classes at its main location, classes for homeschooled students, after-school programs, or activities at schools and community centers, Sandbox Computers for Kids, Inc.'s goal is to make computer education fun, relevant, and accessible to all children.
