  • Santa Clara Paintball
The locations that comprise Paintball Tickets challenge hue-happy gamers to a range of combative revelry fought with air-powered paintbrushes. During games, referees maintain a fun and lighthearted wartime experience while competitors engage in capture-the-flag style strategy. As players navigate the terrain on a quest to invade the other team's territory and avoid epidemics of trenchfoot, they covertly scope opponents and peg them with bright-colored pellets to dull their chance at victory.

It's a big job for a mere ten administrators and social workers to tackle, but luckily they have the support of county residents. That support allows them to put on events such as the annual family fun run?a jaunt through UCD's stunning arboretum that helps the organization raise critical funds to connect families with support services. They also host fundraisers, child abuse awareness events, and family strengthening outreach programs, which build up families by having each member pick up and hug the next smallest person for 15 reps.

  • T3 Ideas
The Mercy High School Alumni Association swears by the notion that "When asked where they went to school, Baltimoreans proudly answer with the name of their high school." In this spirit, they invite their proudest alumni to strap on sneakers, headbands, and souvenir t-shirts to take part in the B-More True to Your School 5K, a friendly fundraising competition between Baltimore-area schools. After running and sweating through the race route together, participants are invited to an all-ages post-race celebration with food, drink, and live music. Though the celebration includes a random prize drawing, prizes also go to the overall winners of the race and whoever stops to help the groundskeeper fight the local squirrel gang. These awards aren't the only incentive to compete: all race fees and donations go to support Mercy High School, and the school with the most registered supporters in the overall competition receives a donation.

  • River Run for Youth
The first-annual River Run for Youth will send waves of participants galloping along the Sacramento River in support of the Collings Teen Center. Every day, young people throughout the West Sacramento community flock to the non-profit's location to hang out, play games, and learn in a safe, reassuring environment. Community members can show their support for the center and its cause while soaking up riverside views on Saturday, September 20. The day's events will include timed and un-timed 5K races and walks, as well as a free quarter-mile race for children. The course begins and ends at Raley Field, and after everyone has finished, kids can head into the stadium to run the bases and hear the echos of roaring crowds by holding their ears up to empty sunflower seed shells.

  • MetaBody Yoga & Fitness Pass
When Roald Dahl wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, he imagined a much-coveted golden ticket that granted access to myriad wonders and unveiled the inner workings of an entire industry. MetaBody created a real-life version of that ticket with the MetaBody Yoga & Fitness Pass, though it applies to fitness instead of candy. The pass grants access not to a single gym but to classes at a variety of local studios, specializing in everything from yoga to boot camp. With the freedom to move from location to location, students can sample different regimens, instructors, and styles of exercise to cobble together a program that fits their needs and goals. MetaBody's nutritionists supplement class packages by coaching clients in healthy eating, recipe cooking, and speed-reading nutrition-fact labels.
