Phobooth's team knows photography—its work has been cited in the New York Times, Wired, and Newsweek. So, when staff members set out to develop their photo booth, they upheld high standards, demanding that the booth produce magazine-quality images. Today, they transport their photo booths across the entire state of Florida with no travel fees. After setting up the fully automatic photo booth at parties or corporate events, they welcome guests to pop in and strum fluffy pink guitars while wrapping their friends in feathery boas. The prop box also includes items such as old-fashioned hats or oversize sunglasses, and photos print using an ink that's designed to last the shelf life of mayonnaise—100 years. Phobooth offers three packages: basic, which comes with a disc of all pictures taken; plus, which adds social-networking options; and premium, which includes custom velvet backdrops and screen graphics. A photo-booth attendant delivers and sets up each package and stands by throughout the event.
A shuttle bus pulls up to the curb, and a Dogs Rule staff member leads another drowsy charge to its front porch. This pooch is knackered, having spent all day carousing at Dogs Rule, a leash-free dog-care facility whose wall-mounted “BEWARE OF THE DOG” sign belies the canine camaraderie within. As pooches enter the facility, the staff separates them into groups according to age, temperament, and size, and watches over the pups as they wrestle in the outdoor play lot’s dirt, chase soap bubbles, splash in the pool, or strategize table-side manners in the play house. Overnight guests—whether feline or canine—bunk down in crates at night. Dogs Rule's groomer Diane Lyons, herself an owner of four dogs, backs up her passion for canine coiffures with 29 years of grooming experience.
During their pets’ time at Dogs Rule, owners can opt for grooming sessions or vaccinations at an additional charge. All proceeds from the facility benefit the nonprofit AHHHHA, which finds homes for abandoned animals and offers low-cost spay and neuter services to pet owners.
Located in the northern part of the state, Gainesville resides in the middle of several Florida destinations, about a two-hour drive from Orlando, St. Augustine, Tampa, and Jacksonville. Whether on store windows, car bumpers, or ubiquitous sportswear, the Gator logo is impossible to avoid in Gainesville, home to the University of Florida, the sixth largest campus in the country. Affectionately known as "The Swamp," the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is electric during home football games, when more than 90,000 fans painted in orange and blue perform the Gator Chomp and flawlessly recite every word of the Florida Constitution. Two miles from the Inn, the Century Tower presides over the heart of the campus, a 156-foot-tall Gothic carillon that serenades students with the "Florida Chimes" bell tune every quarter hour. On the west edge of campus, the Florida Museum of Natural History tells the story of the state's history with an award-winning exhibit of more than 500 fossils and Native American artifacts. Dotted with lush, tropical trees, cascading waterfalls, and pedestrian walkways, the museum's Butterfly Rainforest nourishes hundreds of international butterflies species.
