  • Street Food Cinema
Spanning spring through the fall, Street Food Cinema rolls out more than fifty events in eleven different locations over 27 weeks. This showcase highlights the greatest hits of the silver screen and the LA food-truck scene, as well as music from emerging music artists such as The Rebel Light. When the gates open, guests spread blankets on the grass and pop open coolers. Live bands play until dusk, when crowd-pleasing movies such as Fight Club and The Sandlot light up the big screen. Meanwhile, a rotating food-truck schedule assembles a diverse curbside lineup, which might include fresh seafood from Cousins Maine Lobster or the gooey delights of The Grilled Cheese Truck. Their events also feature movie-themed games projected on the big screen for audience participation. Street Food Cinema's eclectic assemblage of food, music, and films has picked up attention beyond the park's bounds, snagging mentions on NBC4, We Like LA, and The Washington Post. Other videos of the events in action can be seen here. It's also become known for its philanthropic work: each year the organization supports several charities.

  • Latin Dance Pro
“Dance has altered every aspect of our lives in the most positive ways,” declares Sergio Leal, lead instructor and owner of Latin Dance Pro, on his bio page. Through his Latin dance classes, such as salsa and cha-cha, he hopes to instill that positivity in his students. In beginners' classes, he teaches up to 70 pupils at a time, creating a vibrant social setting for people to learn the sensual hip swings and intimate eyebrow flexes of the bachata. Whether strutting the Argentine tango or twirling dance partners during the cumbia and merengue, Sergio and his team of dancers, which includes Armen Way from Dancing with the Stars, bring humility to the environment that allows for a unintimidating, casual atmosphere where everyone can enjoy learning new moves at their own pace. Aside from group lessons, they also provide professional choreography, private lessons, and entertainment. Additionally, Sergio has his own line of dance apparel.

  • California Country Antiques Show
Sandy Raulston and Ted Birbilis have lived in the world of art and antiques together for almost three decades. They've sold pieces in old farmhouses and and participated in The Los Angeles Modernism Show. They're particularly skilled with antiques, classifying and valuing entire collections in one easy sweep, and they now preside over the LA Living: Modern to Classic Antiques Show. At that show, a range of aesthetic movements are represented, from industrialism to folk art. The designers themselves are just as varied, ranging from pop artists to Native American craftsmen. Oil paintings, of colorful landscapes and sepia country churches, hang above a tangle of art in every medium imaginable. There are carved canes, colorful instruments, vases, and furniture, glossy wooden masks and vintage-looking lamps, all curated by Sandy and Ted.

  • Summer of Surf
Summer of Surf helps introduce children to the fun of surfing, even if they live nowhere near the ocean. For each class of nine surfers at Summer of Surf, there are three expert instructors to help students get the hang of one day hanging ten. Kids start off on the beach, getting acquainted with the feel of the surfboard and learning about water safety, surfboard balance, and key dialogue in Point Break. After that, students take to the water to practice standing up on the board and navigating beginner-friendly waves just off the beach. The company also offers transportation to and from inland areas to ensure every child has a chance to enjoy the water.
