Owning a firearm is an American right. However, Miami Firearms Training firmly believes firearms owners are responsible for learning the skills and the laws surrounding that right. The center's instructors help build individuals' confidence by emphasizing safe, proper techniques. Then, they guide students through firearms trainings inspired by real-world situations, so they are comfortable owning, handling, and operating firearms.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We raise funds and awareness for local children's hospitals. When children are diagnosed with severe illnesses, the parents are usually desperate for answers.. Well that's not the time to wish for a miracle. The time to make miracles is now, and this has been the opportunity for us to do just that.
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Participants under the age of 16 are not permitted to participate in DeNito’s Ride for Kids. For any minors who are between the ages of 16 and 17 years old, they must be accompanied by an adult during the event, and a parent/legal guardian must sign a waiver specifically for the minor.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Anthony DeNito has been selling Real Estate in Miami for over 15 years and gives a portion of every commission earned to the Children's Miracle Network and the Miami Children's Hospitals Foundation. In 2013, he realized that he wanted to do more so he combined his passions for giving and cycling.

The instructors at Perfect Balance Fitness & Martial Arts Training strive to create a happy marriage between Eastern and Western philosophies. Master Al Agon draws from the discipline and fitness ideals of ancient martial arts techniques and modernizes them with instruction tailored to help kids build discipline and focus in school and professionals cope with stresses at work. To earn a black belt, students must exhibit devotion not only at the gym but also in other important aspects of life, such as relationships and school work, striving toward a lifetime of fitness and overall contentment. In addition to the martial arts program, the venue also hosts intense kickboxing classes in which students pummel punching bags until they agree to share the secrets of withstanding a pummeling. One-on-one personal training sessions also adhere to Agon's training philosophy and are tailored to help clients meet their individual wellness goals.
Recognizing the interdependence of fitness and martial arts, Thump Fight Gym & Fitness Center married the two, inspiring patrons of all ability levels to hone their combat skills while making strides toward an overall healthier lifestyle. The trainers and certified exercise physiologists lead martial-arts classes including boxing, muay thai, and jujitsu, challenging fighters to face off in the regulation-size boxing ring or the half cage—which has proven inadequate for housing feral exercise bikes. During each class, students burn calories and learn practical and potentially lifesaving self-defense skills. To supplement the combat training, the instructors also lead yoga and Pilates classes, spinning, kettlebell training, and CrossFit classes. The gym also accommodates solo workout routines with a weight-training zone and functional fitness equipment such as oversize tires and climbing ropes.
With multiple certifications from the NRA and hand-to-hand combat expertise, it's no surprise Miami Shooters Club instructors are in demand - they've even taught seminars at the Miami-Dade Police Department. In private lessons and small group classes, they school clients on how to use firearms safely in almost any situation.
One showcase of instructors' skills is the concealed-weapon-certificate class, which takes place at Miami Shooters Club's University Park facility. Designed for complete beginners and expert sharpshooters alike, the course covers how to take a proper stance, grip the firearm, aim, and pull the trigger, as well as discussing some of the unique legal issues and ethical questions associated with concealed carry. At the end of the course, students safely discharge a weapon under instructor supervision, as required by Florida law.
