Like many of his clients, certified Rolfer Adam Tanner used to suffer from chronic pain. The pain was rooted in his lower legs and feet, and caused him such discomfort that he was unable to play sports or participate in any physical activity for a number of years. He tried physical therapy, massage, strength training, and stretching, but nothing helped—until he discovered the art of Rolfing. Unlike massage, Rolfing is designed to remove pain and tension from the body for good by retraining movement patterns and releasing restrictions in the muscles and connective tissues. Once the body is aligned and moving properly, injured areas are able to heal themselves. Today, Adam helps others achieve the relief he experienced through Rolfing sessions.
