Design a digital rock dock station. Create a superhero mobile. Build and battle a dino-robot. Launch rockets to new heights. The children who engage in these once-in-a-lifetime activities at Destination Science camps aren't just having fun—they're learning science. At over 130 camp locations in six states, counselors lead campers ages 5 to 11 through a full week of hands-on exploration in various disciplines. Aided by kid-friendly tools, entertaining demonstrations, and inventive lesson plans, they teach campers the basics of scientific inquiry through the fun of exploration and experimentation. The four main camps focus on topics ranging from human and marine biology to astronomy, engineering, and physics, often with engaging games and hands-on projects. All of Destination Science's instructors are experienced educators and university students, each focused in the sciences and chosen for their ability to relate to children and build an effective baking-soda volcano.

What was once Lil's Dancing School has now transformed into The Studio Dance & Pilates, thanks to a longtime Lil's teacher, June Coppola. Her lifelong journey with dance began at age 4, and after 23 years of teaching at Lil's, she got the chance to take it over and realize her dream of owning her own studio. Now, a multitude of experienced teachers, including a core group that has danced together for more than 25 years, lead classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary dance for dancers of all ages. Coppola has also incorporated Pilates, yoga, and Zumba into the class offerings, giving her clients a chance to both hone their dance skills and tone their bodies.
Given the knowledge and experience that comes from long careers in the NHL, AHL, and IHL—not to mention Peter's spot on the 1994 U.S. Olympic team—the identical Ferraro twins know what they're doing when it comes to ice hockey. Whether playing for the Rangers or simply conquering a big old meatball sub, the duo shares every experience—and now, they plan to open a state-of-the-art 85,000-square-foot hockey facility in the fall of 2013. Equipped with two NHL regulation rinks, an outdoor recreational rink, and a partnership with the Long Island Gulls and the New York Bobcats, the new facility will host camps and clinics for youth and adult hockey players.
