At Hollywood HEART's weeklong visual-and-performing-arts camp, Camp Hollywood HEART (CHH), youth ages 16–20 work intensively in their choice of six arts disciplines and interact with entertainment-industry professionals and volunteer artists. Throughout the week, participants are immersed in their selected curricula—acting, fashion, movie production, music, writing, or visual arts—and are free to try out new disciplines such as photography or comic-book artistry in one-hour elective programming blocks. The camp culminates with a presentation of each discipline group's finished work at the Celebration of the Arts Gala.
Captained by executive chef Sean Poplar, Barbarella’s kitchen dishes out a seasonal menu of highly sophisticated, eclectic cuisine. When possible, dishes contain local, organic, and hormone-free ingredients sure to please carnivores, herbivores, and their hybrid omnivore offspring. Start off a supper with a rich burrata bruschetta loaded with prosciutto and sun-dried tomato pesto ($11) or a satisfyingly savory hummus with teriyaki mushrooms and hot loaves of pita ($11). Protein-packed platters, such as a braised short rib with crispy polenta and brussels sprout chips ($15) or Pacific salmon with rice cake, shitake mushrooms, and ponzu ($15), stifle deafening belly roars, and veggie dishes such as the mushroom risotto with shaved scallions and truffle oil ($8) lightly tickle the appetite into a blissful slumber. An assortment of pizzas, including a delicious discus topped with chicken sausage and parmesan reggiano ($16), are created using egg-free dough whipped up by Barbarella’s cooks in-house, not in the car on the way to the restaurant.

The Ice House Comedy Club hosts professional laugh makers in a casual, intimate setting. Dozens of famous funny people have cultivated chuckles on the club's stage—including David Letterman, George Carlin, and Ellen DeGeneres—throughout its half-century history. Upcoming entertainers include voice actor Scott Henry, television veteran Ralph Harris, and Mind of Mencia star Brad Williams. The small, personal atmosphere allows all viewers to be within seven rows of giggle gatherers, although Ice House recommends arriving 45 minutes early to prevent the first-come, first-served seats from developing abandonment issues. Although not included in this Groupon, Ice House also boasts a menu loaded with creative drinks, tasty snacks, and funnybone-repair kits.
West Coast Boot Camp's Adrian Pietrariu is at his best during the heat of athletic competition. Not content with dominating opponents during taekwondo matches, Adrian assembled a team of seasoned instructors that now forms the core of WCBC’s training staff. Their signature boot camp meets in places such as beaches and parking lots to get hearts pumping and calories burning. Adrian also helps individuals unlock inner combatants with martial-arts classes, achieve their athletic aspirations with one-on-one coaching, and learn the difference between a basketball and an overripe cantaloupe with sport-specific training.
