Hosted by former Dallas Cowboys Jay Novacek and Kevin Smith, Sportz Partnerz's ESPN "Lunch with a Legend" events invite fans to meet, greet, and eat with a selection of NFL players and veterans in private luncheons with no more than 100 attendees. Rudy's chefs barbecue infinite amounts of brisket, sausage, and chicken to fuel mingling among fans and football stars. The intimate event allows lunchers to get close enough to smell the fame for 90 minutes of posing for photographs, listening to NFL stories, and snagging barbecue-sauce-smeared autographs. The roster of NFL guests will vary by day and location, and a complete list will be available upon registration.
Gleeful squealing rings out across Jump Mania's nearly 10,000 square feet of green, purple, and blue inflatables during jump hours. The laughter is coming from children as they bound through the obstacle courses, bounce houses, and air-filled slides comprising the indoor playground's 10 mammoth inflatables. With private party rooms, the springy arena also entertains bouncers for birthday parties, which are enhanced by goodies such as pizza, ice cream, and grab bags. Additionally, the facility welcomes caretakers with free admission, letting them enjoy a grown-up approach to the youthful excitement without having to sample play-doh sushi.
At For Those about to Rock School we offer guitar, bass, drums, piano and vocal lessons, but we don't teach the traditional way. We have our students tell us which songs that they would like to learn and we begin by teaching simplified parts of those songs.
The Liberty by the Lake Festival is back for another round of family-style Independence Day fun. The party kicks off with a trio of races designed to jump-start the patriotism. A parade follows, complete with patriotic music and floats dedicated to America’s famous landmarks and star-spangled airspace.
At 4 p.m., the main events officially begin. Stunt riders wow the crowd on BMX bikes and skateboards throughout the day. From opening to 8 p.m., attendees can check out the business expo and learn more about local companies. Those with a competitive spirit can test their mettle by impersonating America's first bard, Elvis Presley, making salsa, wakeboarding, and speed-eating watermelon. Party rockers Blaze of Glory: The Bon Jovi Experience have plans to howl at the sun until it drags the day below the horizon, priming the sky for fireworks that cast red and blue sparks over the waters of Lake Lewisville.
While many saw the 11-mile-per-hour winds that whipped across Lake Lewisville as an annoyance, Captain Mike saw them as the perfect fuel for a perpetual party. With the wind at his back, he pilots the Chamonix II, a 70-foot catamaran equipped for on-the-water events with a heated cabin, catered buffets, and plush couches lining the front deck. He plies the water daily, taking his passengers on corporate getaways, mobile wedding receptions, or private parties across the sunny waters. And as night sets in, he escorts intimate groups on quiet sunset dinner cruises. He invites dinner guests to bring their favorite alcoholic beverages to enjoy while they dine on catered Italian fair, chip golf balls off the deck at targets in the water, or make spooky faces with flashlights under the light of the moon.
