Q&A with Ryan Messinger, Wellness Director
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Variety. We offer 85 fitness classes per week both in the pool and in our studios. Our fitness team is degreed and certified and always available to answer questions or provide that extra boost to keep you going. We also have a plethora of cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights to keep anyone on track to reach their goals.
What's the most radical physical transformation you've seen a client make?
We have clients that have not only lost hundreds of pounds, but [also] have made total life changes that last. We focus on health and wellness for a lifetime and not just the short term.
Besides working out, what else can clients do to spend their time at your facility?
Besides the fitness floor we have two pools with awesome views of the prairie. One is our seven-lane lap pool and the other is our warm water therapy pool, perfect for relaxing or working out stiff joints. Guests can also utilize our whirlpools, steam rooms, and saunas as well. We also have a fully stocked grab-and-go cafe and ample indoor space in our atrium in front of the fireplace or outside by our ponds.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We are a medically integrated fitness facility certified through the Medical Fitness Association (MFA). ... Besides the fitness facility we also offer approximately 2 miles worth of trails throughout the prairie on campus. We also offer, for an additional cost, a variety of personal training and small-group training options. ... We also offer onsite childcare while you work out for a minimal fee.
