Originally a simple pharmacy established in 1987, Penlar Pharmacy expanded in 1998 to include more than 100 vendor lines. Penlar went through a complete renovation in late 2011, revamping the decor and upgrading their computers to a new state-of-the-art system. Its goods range from Hallmark cards and gift items to balloons, plush animals from Britto, Melissa & Doug, and Mary Meyer. Penlar also carries a selection of cosmetic products, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and medical equipment. In order to adapt to evolving times, Penlar added two other advancements in 2004—online prescription refills and prescription delivery.
