  • Stone & Key Cellars
Cuisine Type: Wine, Hard Apple Cider Established: 2013 Reservations: Recommended Handicap Accessible: Yes Parking: Parking lot Kid-friendly: No Alcohol: Wine Only Outdoor Seating: No Q&A with the Manager Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover? At Stone & Key Cellars, we encourage our customers to be part of the winemaking experience. You can invest in a quarter (71 bottles), half (142 bottles), or full barrel (285 bottles) quantity of wine, produced from the grapes of your choice. Experience centuries-old winemaking techniques including: crushing and destemming grapes, pressing your wine, the art of blending, and bottling over the course of 10–12 months. It's the perfect experience for family, friends, or coworkers who appreciate great wine. We also offer the option to make small batches (6 gallons/28 bottles) from grape juice in just two sessions over 4–8 week. Décor can say a lot about the type of food a restaurant serves. How does your décor inform or reflect your culinary practice? As a production winery, our decor must be kept simple in order to remain functional. Our walls are painted cinder blocks and our ceiling/duct work has an open, somewhat industrial feel. We have an open, modular floor plan, that allows us to manipulate the main winery space to accommodate whatever task(s) we are currently undertaking. This floor plan also gives customers at the tasting bar a full view of the winery's barrels, equipment, and day-to-day operation. In your own words, how would you describe your menu? We source high-quality grapes from California, Washington, Italy, and South America to produce our exceptional red and white wines. From classic red varietals like cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and zinfandel to white wines including, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and pinot grigio (as well as several classic blends). We have something to please every wine drinker's palate. We also produce hard cider from apples sourced locally in Pennsylvania, as well as from New York and New Hampshire.

  • Fonthill Castle
At the turn of the 19th century, it became all too clear to historian and archaeologist Henry Mercer that handmade objects were being cast aside for machine-made things. He wanted to help preserve the pre-industrial way of life, and so he built a museum for his artifacts adjacent to his own home, Fonthill Castle. Today, Fonthill Castle is a National Historic Landmark and a museum in its own right, displaying handcrafted art both made by Mercer and collected by him during his world travels. The Building: the concrete castle comprises 44 rooms, including 18 fireplaces and around 200 windows; its vastness earned it a feature on A&E's America's Castles Crown Jewel: all through the castle, guests will find interior walls, floors, and ceilings adorned with Mercer's handcrafted tiles Don't Miss: 14,000 of Mercer's collected artifacts, including tiles, prints, textiles, and back issues of So You Own A Castle magazine Hidden Gem: in one hallway ceiling, Henry Mercer inscribed a thank-you note addressed directly to everyone who helped build his home—including a horse Annual Events: in the summer, there's Fonthill Castle Beer Fest, where guests pair local beers with local foods; in the winter, the castle is decked out for the holidays in Victorian-era splendor While You’re in the Neighborhood: tour Henry's labor of love, the Mercer Museum next door, which houses his collection of pre-Industrial Age handmade objects

Helicopter tours ferry patrons skyward over landmarks and cityscapes, whereas paragliding adventures get up close and personal with blue skies and clouds. For most sports, Sportations accommodates groups of any size, from physics classes empirically proving gravity's existence to solo ballooning supervillains declaring dominion over all they see.

  • Whispering Pines Family Farm Camp
Chris and Heidi Long always dreamed of the country life, and moving their things out of the city to a place where the pace was slower and the air was cleaner. And thus, Whispering Pines Family Farm Camp was born. Throughout the warmer months, the Longs and their staff keep kids entertained with an eclectic medley of activities. Programs and classes range from learning about and interacting with resident farm animals to arts and crafts and practicing your right to imprison your friends during games of capture the flag. • Hardcore Pilates Studio
As a teenager, Sarah Heward suffered two herniated disks, which left her literally crawling out of bed throughout her teenage years until she was 30. Because her demands as a mother of three young children made it impossible to take time off for surgery, she sought an exercise modality to help heal her damaged back. Sarah found Pilates, which brought her fast relief from the years of pain. Now completely rehabilitated, she leads students of all fitness levels in finding physical wellness at her own studio in both small-group classes and private lessons. The studio is lined with Pilates machines including reformers and springboards, designed to build patrons’ strength without adding bulk by utilizing the practitioner's own body weight as resistance. She also translates the exercises to mat-based routines, where students need nothing more than willing abdominals and their lucky spandex ascot to complete the full-body-toning regimen.
