From a pool of more than 50 hopeful Chicago businesses came five finalists who made their final pitch in front of a panel of local business leaders, including Groupon’s own Nikhil Sagar, GM of Groupon Goods North America, and a room full of small business enthusiasts.
The winners of the Make City Small Business Pitch Event were:
- 1st Place ($5,000) – TeaSquares
- 2nd Place ($3,000) – Meliora Cleaning Products
- 3rd Place ($2,000) – Luna Lights

As the grand prize winner, TeaSquares also pocketed $2,500 in UPS shipping credits.
