the summer camp was probably good for older children - they had 6 kids and the age gap was too much. My 8 year old and our friend's daughter - age 6 1/2 was too young. No real art work came home all week - only one clay object. Not enough structure for younger kids - last day my daugther stayed outside - so not engaged enough. My daughter had been there before and loved the work she had completed in a class of 2 but the sumer camp setting was not structured properly and the younger kids not engaged enough unfortunately. We will go back but not for a summer camp - only for a 1 or 2 hour lesson.

Local pro painter leads students through myriad mediums such as watercolour & acrylic before transferring their art to 2 prints & 10 cards

At Bronte Art Academy, local portrait artist Paul Ross Sandilands shares his knowledge, techniques, and passions for creative expression through lessons covering myriad art mediums. During the four-hour lesson, students splatter and dabble in watercolour, graphite, pen and ink, and acrylic, with materials that are all nontoxic and solvent-free. With class sizes no larger than eight, budding artistes receive ample hands-on instruction and attention. Once a masterpiece portraying family, the ocean at sunset, or Roger Clemens as a 19th-century robber baron is completed, Bronte Art Academy transfers the piece to two frameable prints and 10 greeting cards for posterity, and then posts it on its website for the whole art-loving world to ogle.
