Chinese Hawaiian Kenpo Academy

The Kenpo style of martial arts relies on quick movement—rapid-fire, circular arm and leg motions that are intended to disorient opponents. Similarly, the instructors at Chinese Hawaiian Kenpo Academy like to keep students on their toes. The staff is consistently innovating and tweaking practices to engage students of all experience levels and learning styles. But the roots of Kenpo still run deep—Grandmaster Sifu Jack F.C. Shamburger comes from a long line of martial artists, and was even given his own system of Chinese Hawaiian Kenpo.

Naturally, Kenpo takes center stage here, but students can also learn kickboxing, and kids as young as 3 years old can hone coordination and speed during children's classes. And once a week, the academy offers women's self-defense classes that teach ways to block and subdue attackers.
