Choose from Three Options

  • $34 for a chocolate-making workshop for one (an $82 value)
  • $65 for a workshop for two (a $164 value)
  • $89 for a workshop for three (a $246 value)

A master confectioner narrates the history of chocolate at the outset of the 90-minute workshop, tracing its evolution from an obscure tropical bean to a ubiquitous pantry staple. As the storyteller drums up intrigue, four platters of sample chocolates circulate from student to student, causing mouths to water with happy tears. When the history lesson concludes, the instructor helps participants handcraft various delicacies—Belgian specialty bonbons, truffles, mould chocolates, and more. Finally, the delicacies are nestled into a box, fastened with a ribbon, and sent home with their maker.

Chocolate Tales

Chocolate Tales owner David's childhood crush on confections multiplied each time his father would bring home chocolates after trips throughout Europe. Years later, David's unconditional love for chocolate would resurface during his own exploration of the Old World, eventually leading him to open Chocolate Tales with his wife and fellow chocoholic. The enthusiastic chocolatiers share their knowledge of generating fine, cocoa-based creations as well as tasty tidbits of chocolate history. Their typical 90-minute workshops engineer impressive sweets such as Belgian bonbons and chocolate soufflés. Chocolate Tales provides all necessary chocolate-building materials, including kitchen utensils, high-grade Belgian chocolate, and cages for chocolate bunnies.

The Groupon Guide to: Writing a Love Song

Other than offering to pay for a love interest’s major surgery, the best way to make that person fall in love with you is by writing him or her a song. Here are some tips to consider when crafting your musical love letter:

• If you’re writing to a woman, compare her beauty to something you’d find in nature, like a sunset or a particularly erotic looking mountain.
• If you’re writing to a man, compare his coolness to an anthropomorphic cigarette smoking an actual cigarette.
• Try to make yourself sound like a loving person, so avoid writing about crimes you’ve committed unless they were crimes of passion.
• In the outro, repeat your love interest’s name over and over again, getting quieter each time and dramatically slowing down the tempo of the song. After several hours of this, he or she will fall asleep near you. If you are able to stay awake while he or she sleeps for 24 consecutive hours, you will be legally married (only in some states).
• Remember the old saying: if it’s got a sweet beat, it’ll be on repeat, but if it’s got only a trace amount of bass, you’ll never finish in first place in the love race.

Is embezzlement always a crime of passion?
