We were disappointed the fireplace was not functioning. Our neighbor's didn't work either so that leads us to believe it was intentional to deny use of the fireplace. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Designer Townhouses near Secluded Beaches on Tybee Island

Georgia’s tiny Tybee Island is much quieter than its vibrant neighbor, Savannah, but what it lacks in bustle it makes up for in natural splendor. Travel + Leisure ranks the barrier island’s coast among the most beautiful in the country, and its sprawling wetlands are home to rare loggerhead turtles, egrets, and dolphins. The elegant townhouses of Luxury Living Savannah Tybee sit in the midst of this scenic landscape, near historical sights such as the century-old Tybee Island Light Station and Museum and Fort Screven, which served as a stronghold until World War II.

The townhouses feature jacuzzi tubs and balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Bamboo floors, wicker chairs, and sea-green hues give the 1,700-square-foot Oceanfront Oasis a distinctly tropical vibe. The master bedroom has a Sony home-theater system, and the master bathroom features a vanity with two sinks. Outside, you'll have access to a charcoal grill and swimming pool. The 54 Captain's View property, meanwhile, occupies half of a secluded duplex brightened by colorful wall murals and stained-glass windows designed by local artists. With the beach just yards away, the view here is worthy of a postcard.

Tybee Island, Georgia: Quaint Island Retreat Minutes from Downtown Savannah

Tybee Island can be reached via a 30-minute drive east from Savannah. The small barrier islet is home to a 3-mile stretch of beach dotted by sand dunes covered in sea oats. Visitors and residents flock to the shore year-round for kayak trips and dolphin tours and to fish off the piers. Along the dockside, there's a string of outdoor restaurants that serve up beer-battered fish, steamed oysters, and shrimp right off the boat.

You can learn about the town's rich maritime history at a number of nearby forts, cottages, and landmarks, such as Tybee Island lighthouse, which offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Just a 30-minute shuttle ride away is downtown Savannah, where you’ll find cobblestone streets, lively buskers, and energetic nightlife.

We were very impressed with the condo, very clean the decor gave such a tropical feel. The well stocked kitchen supplies, ample towels and bath clothes as well as the bathroom loved the tub and the huge shower spacious. It was a home away from home. Our Only concern the heater would occassionaly blow cool air the temp in savannah durning our vist was 41-60 degrees, but there were blankets for every bed which made a difference for the minor heat issue

Only thing I didn't like was that there was a sign on fireplace that said that it didn't work, but the sign seemed permenent as if they just don't want people using it

The only negative I found was the extremely high cleaning fee. Considering we were only there for two nights and we left the place spotless I don't think we should have had to pay $125 cleaning fee. It would be better if there was a cleaning fee deposit that could be refunded if the place was cleaned by the tenants before they leave the premises.

The groupon ad says $159.00 for 2 days which is mis-leading. There is an additional expense of $125.00 for a cleaning fee and a tax of over $20. If you want to use the wifi, there is another fee. Checkin is after 4pm and checkout at 10 am, so its really 1 1/2 days for over $300.00. Not especially a good deal.
