Tour of Russian Imperial Capital St. Petersburg and Design Capital Helsinki

You’ll have a chance to visit these and other Helsinki attractions during Beyond Boundaries Travel’s eight-day, seven-night vacation, which also includes a two-night stay in St. Petersburg, Russia. Days 1–3: After an overnight flight from New York City (JFK), you’ll spend two nights at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Helsinki. Travel + Leisure dubbed the Finnish capital one of the World’s Top Waterfront Cities, recommending the open-air market and spacious cafés overlooking the harbor. While here, you’re free to explore the city at your leisure. Don’t forget to collect your Helsinki Card, which provides free entry to museums and attractions as well as other benefits.

On the third day, depart from the St. Peter Line terminal for an overnight cruise to St. Petersburg, Russia, on the Princess Maria.

Days 4–6: In St. Petersburg, you’ll stay at the five-star Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge, which lies in Vasilievsky Island’s historic district. An included city tour takes travelers to some of the city’s main sites, including the Palace Square and St. Isaac’s Cathedral, where you can climb more than 200 steps to the colonnade for great views. The rest of the time in St. Petersburg is left for personal exploration of city sites, shopping, and enjoying the nightlife along Nevsky Prospekt.

On the sixth day, you’ll depart on an overnight cruise back to Helsinki.

Days 7–8: Spend more time exploring Helsinki or make a day trip to Tallinn, Estonia’s medieval capital, located just across the Gulf of Finland. After breakfast on day 8, you’ll be shuttled back to Helsinki Airport for a return flight to JFK.
