Nepal’s 150-mile Annapurna Circuit has been called the “holy grail of trekking” by Backpacker magazine. On this trip from Bohemian Tours, you’ll spend five days hiking the challenging circuit amid the tallest mountain range in the world—the Himalayas. Experienced guides lead the group, which is composed of no more than 15 people (porters help ease the load). Along the way, you’ll stay in traditional lodges that line the route. Before and after the trek, you can explore some of Nepal’s largest cities, including Kathmandu and Pokhara, while sleeping in three-star hotels.
Days 1–2: Arrival and Orientation
After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to a nearby hotel for the night—either Thamel Eco Resort, Samsara Resort, or another resort of similar caliber. On the second day, you’ll take part in a morning yoga class and depart from Kathmandu toward Pokhara.
Days 3–7: Himalayan Trekking Along the Annapurna Circuit
Over the next five days, you’ll spend five to six hours per day on a trek along the Annapurna Circuit. The scenery changes as you hike between villages, from thick jungle to panoramic alpine vistas. Along the way, you’ll munch on three vegetarian meals per day and settle in at traditional lodges come nightfall.
Days 8–10: Sightseeing and Farewell Dinner
Tour-goers will spend the eighth day exploring Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal. Here you can enjoy a massage, go paragliding, or hike to the World Peace Pagoda for a stunning view of some of the world’s tallest mountains. The following day, the group journeys back to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner. There’s a final yoga class in the morning before you set off for the airport.
