Centuries-Old Churches Along the Danube and Prague Castle

The tour includes:

Days 1–3: Budapest An overnight flight takes you to Budapest, where you’ll spend the next day exploring the city at your leisure. On day three, you’ll embark on a city tour that goes past the neo-Gothic Parliament building along the Danube River. Cross the water to visit Matthias Church and the Royal Palace in the hills of Buda. The tour culminates at Fisherman’s Bastion, which boasts stunning views of the city.

Days 4–5: Vienna After a journey through the Austrian countryside, the group arrives in Vienna. Cruising along the city’s main thoroughfare, the Ringstrasse, you’ll visit the elaborate Hofburg Palace—the former royal seat of the Habsburg empire. This Groupon includes a trip to the palace, but does not include entrance. Other stops on the tour include the opera house and Prater Amusement Park, one of the oldest attractions of its kind in the world. The 200-ft Ferris wheel, which was built in 1897, is still operational.

Days 6–8: Prague Finally, the tour heads north to Prague, known as the City of a Thousand Spires for its dramatic architecture. On day 7’s sightseeing tour, you’ll visit the enormous Prague Castle, where the Bohemian kings once lived and ruled. One of the last stops is St. George’s Basilica, which dates back to the 10th century and boasts a striking red-and-white Romanesque façade.
