Days 1–4: See London’s Bridge, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey by Trolley and by Foot
During your three-night stint in London, you’ll settle in at Comfort Inn Vauxhall. Included in this Getaway, you’ll have a ticket on The Original London Sightseeing Tour that is good for 24 hours. Once the bus stops at a landmark—such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, or London Bridge—you’re free to hop off and check the place up close for as long as you’d like. Then, you can hop back on the bus once it makes its way back.
You’ll also have plenty of leisure time to check out the city during your stay. Make some time to stop by Westminster Abbey, a thousand-year-old Gothic cathedral decorated with stained glass, paintings, and other artifacts. The Piccadilly Circus rivals New York’s Times Square with its giant illuminated billboards, which are offset by some elaborate 19th-century architecture.
Days 5–8: Tour the Eiffel Tower at Night and Walk through the Louvre
A short flight takes you to Paris, where you’ll transfer to the Villa Eugenie or the Boronali Hotel, where you’ll stay for the duration. With your two-day pass for City Sightseeing Paris, you’ll see some of Paris’s most renowned landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower. The tower doesn’t close until midnight, and it’s worth it to visit after dark when the tower lights up in brilliant colors. Hop on and hop off to check out landmarks as you please.
A staggering collection of masterpieces make their home at the Louvre, including the Mona Lisa, and works by Titian, Rembrandt, and Vermeer. You could get lost for days in the Louvre and not see all of its works, but leave some time to see the Notre Dame Cathedral or the Arc de Triomphe, an ornate monument that commemorates those who fought for France in the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.
