Tour Buenos Aires, Experience a Tango Show, and See Iguazu Falls
On this nine-day, seven-night Argentina vacation from Panorama Travel, you’ll spend five days exploring Buenos Aires, nicknamed “Paris of South America” for its distinctly European architecture, its laid-back vibe, and its world-class dining scene. Then you’ll take a flight to Iguazu for the final three days to get an up-close look at Iguazu Falls, a thundering, multitiered waterfall that trumps Niagara Falls in height and breadth—a magnificent scene that was named one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
The deal includes round-trip airfare from Miami (MIA), airport transfers, four-star hotel accommodations, and daily breakfast. Leisure days and preplanned activities vary by day. See the itinerary in more detail here.
Buenos Aires: Days 1–6
While Argentina’s vibrant capital city has many European elements, its own distinct culture can be found through its tango salons, colorful plazas, and outdoor markets. While you’re here, you’ll take a city tour that stops at Plaza de Mayo, the 16th-century city square where First Lady of Argentina Eva Perón spoke to massive crowds, and 9 de Julio Avenue, an eight-lane avenue lined with architectural landmarks. You’ll also stop by La Boca, a lively port neighborhood with vibrantly painted buildings and tango street dancers. The trip ends with dinner and a tango show at Bar El Querandí.
While in Buenos Aires, you’ll have some free leisure time to explore the city on your own. Additional guided tours are available for an extra fee. You can tour Buenos Aires’s ancient tunnel system, see Eva Perón’s lavish wardrobe, or take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Colón Theater, the city’s famed opera house and one of South America’s most recognizable buildings.
Iguazu: Days 6–9
On the morning of Day 6, you’ll board a 90-minute flight (included) to Iguazu to see its spectacular 14-mile-wide falls, seemingly hidden in an untouched rainforest. Located within Iguazu National Park, the tiered falls send water thundering into a giant gorge 229 feet below. The national park is an eco-tourists paradise, with a lush, red-soil jungle, giant butterflies, and toucans. Nearly half of Argentina’s bird species can be found within the park.
