The majority of Summit County Mountain Retreats’ one- and two-bedroom condos are located within or near Keystone’s River Run Village. Each unit gives you the space to stretch out after skiing, snowmobiling, or hiking through the forests. Typically, the units have views of mountains or pine, aspen, and fir trees. Keystone, Colorado: Upscale Resort near Ski Mountains and Alpine Lakes
Located about 75 miles west of Denver, the resort town of Keystone is lined with four-star restaurants, high-end shops, and upscale development, but there's no doubt that the mountains are the focal point of the town. Keystone is the largest ski resort in town, with three mountains spanning 3,148 skiable acres and state’s most expansive night skiing. Each mountain has different levels of difficulty. The highest peak, The Outback, is crisscrossed with expert-level runs that weave around towering pines. There’s also tubing at the mountain’s Adventure Point, a brand-new ice-skating rink in downtown River Run, and sleigh rides through the powdery backcountry. Ski season typically runs through early April.
For when the weather warms up, Keystone Mountain itself features two championship golf courses mixed in with pristine lakes, meadows, and the Snake River. The Summit County properties also border the Dillon Reservoir, a 3,000-acre lake that now covers the remains of the original town of Dillon. It’s popular for sailing and fishing for trout.
