$12 for a Tea Class for One and Classic Duo Tea Sampler ($25 Value)

Classes (a $15 value each) begin with a discussion of the history of tea, from Chinese green to European black teas. Students learn how to care for each cup with individual steeping techniques, and learn how each cup cares for them by reviewing specific health benefits. Students sample several teas along with cookies and biscuits. Classes meet from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month, and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month. In addition, students take home a Classic Duo tea sampler (a $10 value) that includes 2-ounce samples of Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose and Assam loose-leaf teas and a 2-inch mesh tea infuser.

Margaret's Fine Imports

In her bio, Margaret Harris jokes that she "may have had her first 'cup of tea' when she was only one day old." That's because Harris was raised in Poland, where tea, she writes, "is the primary household beverage." Today, she applies her training at the Warsaw Medical College to discuss the health benefits of her brews with customers at her tea-and-coffee shop, Margaret's Fine Imports. In addition to stocking more than 200 types of loose-leaf tea, from Chinese green tea to British teas such as Taylor's Yorkshire Gold tea and PG Tips, Harris completes proper tea times with German and Polish sweets, Asian-style tea sets, and napkins autographed by the Mad Hatter.

The Groupon Guide to: Phases of the Moon

At some point in most people's lives they will look up during a night sky and notice that the mysterious glowing orb that follows them to their car appears to be shrinking, or—at the very least—have some kind of bite out of it. Shed light on this confusion with our guide to the different phases of the moon:

INTRO:

Crescent Moon: Resembles someone attempting to wink at you, but not doing a good enough job to seal the deal.
Full Moon: Perfect time for a visit, as there will be more moon to stand on.
Half Moon: This phase of the moon is the logo for, and is sponsored by, TBS: Very Funny—On The Moon?!
Waxing Gibbous: Like most cosmic phenomena, this phase of the moon is named after a Star Wars character, because most scientists weren't exactly high-school quarterbacks, if you know what I mean.
Blue Moon: Easy to remember, because the moon will be a piercing blood red.
New Moon: The partial moon, currently under construction at Cape Canaveral, has an improved LED screen to remind everyone that sponsor TBS is still very funny.

Does the moon exist?

  • If you love tea, you have to check this place out.

  • The sales clerk that I met was also knowledgable about tea in general and was able to answer most of the questions I had about their selection.
