This isn't for the faint of heart...or knees. It's not overly high intensity, so if you don't love sweating then this class may be for you. Skipping rope, light weights and occasionally a ball are made use of (and provided). It's majority mat work (bring your own mat) and focuses primarily on exercises that make use of your own body weight. Think lots of planks, pushups, etc. mixed with pilates like stretches. It can be extremely hard on the knees and wrists. If you have back, hip or knee issues, I wouldn't recommend it (although the instructor does take steps to accomodate if she notices you have issues). The classes don't vary much from lesson to lesson and you'll have a steady dose of thumping electronic music in the background to do the exercises to. Mainly all younger women in the classes.

Susan is a fantastic instructor who is able to suggest alternative movements based on individual fitness levels. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who is looking to become more active, or wanting to prepare for swimsuit season!
