For much of his life, Young Cho watched family members struggle with illness, even as they sought medical care. He decided to research treatments outside the traditional spectrum that might help people manage pain, which led him to Onnetsu, a form of thermal therapy developed in Japan. The methodology combines massage with infrared heat to improve circulation and supplement the body's natural immune system defenses. Cho learned everything he could about it, ultimately bringing his findings to his new business, the US Onnetsu Therapy Center. There, he practices his infrared massages in a soothing, spa-like environment, with colors and music chosen to help clients relax and forget about work, unless they happen to be massage-table salespeople.
