What You'll Get
Studies show that people who don't learn to play a musical instrument often try to eat one. Save yourself from an awkward doctor's visit with today's Groupon: for $89, you get two months of weekly half-hour guitar lessons at 12 String Studios (a $215 value).
The professional and experienced instructors at 12 String Studios teach students to navigate the fret board with ease during one-on-one guitar lessons for musicians ages 6 to adult. After class registration, knowledgeable staff members contact music pupils to get an idea of their experience, their musical style preferences, and their guitar's sleep schedule before crafting each guitarist’s customized instructional plan. Students ferry their guitars to the studio each week, where they spend 30 minutes flexing their fingers into the chord formations of their favourite songs, all while their teacher illuminates music theory and fine-tunes each string-plucking apprentice's technical abilities. Studious music makers keep track of lessons with a personalized online profile and, depending on their instructor, guitarists may also have the option to record songs. Finally, five annual student recitals showcase each musician's ability to produce pleasing tones and use guitars as ventriloquist dummies. Lesson times are by appointment during the school's business hours and vary depending on each instructor's availability.
