Q&A with Michelle Gomez-matthews, Owner

Besides making clients happy, what do you like most about your job?

I am the happiest doing what I love and that is teaching classes and training clients. My clients become part of me like family. I look forward to each and every day with them. With all the blended amazing people and personalities at 6 Degreee Burn it's a party every day and when our fitness family reaches their goals of weight management, muscle gain or over all imporvement in their health it's a win, win.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?

I have always had a full time coporate job and fitness was a part time gig but was something I could never walk away from no matter how hectic my full time job was. One day a gentleman who is now my husband looked at me after taking one of my classes and said you should do this full time. I thought to myself I am the happiest when I am at the gym. Then l decided to open my own studio and here we are.

What aspect of your job, or the services you offer, most often surprises people?

_ My accessability and genuine concern for all my clients. I think they are surprised that the owner is the one who returns their calls or calls and checks on them when I don't see them for a time period._
