About A Chat with Aikido Shoubu Dojo

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Aikido, Self-defense, and Knife fighting classes in an authentic Japanese dojo and Shinto Shrine. The instructor is the most qualified in tucson having spent over a decade in Japan mastering not only the martial arts, but the language, culture and religion.

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing the student's face light up when their preconceived notions float away, and the student discovers their meaning of martial arts and it is expanded into something even more amazing than they thought.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

A student told me of how during his job of loss prevention at Sears he not only defeated a box cutter wielding assailant, but he pinned him to the ground and did it safely, not causing injury to himself or the attacker. He was super excited and grateful for my teaching him.
