Frank Aleman has been involved with boxing since 1987, competing and coaching on both professional and amateur circuits. In 2008, he decided to make his favorite sport accessible to his wider community, and opened Aleman Boxing Fresno to supply novice fighters with the right gear and guidance. Students can start training as early as age 8, and the gym has curricula and resources for adults, too. Some enter the ring with goals, while others, who may have been spectators their whole lives, want to try their wrapped hands at a lifelong interest. Aleman offers free gym time, too, so individuals can enjoy self-guided sessions with top-tier facilities.
