Yoga awakens the body and spirit, allowing yogis to forecast oncoming weather, traffic patterns, and unwinning lottery numbers, such as "four" and "peanut." Tune and tone your body with today's Groupon to All That Matters, located in historic downtown Wakefield. Choose between two options:
- For $10, you get a two-week unlimited yoga Explorer pass (a $20 value).
- For $20, you get $40 worth of any goods or services the center offers.
Grown under the guidance of Joan Dwyer and now one of the largest non-residential holistic centers in New England, All That Matters relaxes stressed Rhode Island minds and bodies with an array of yoga and holistic treatment programs. An Explorer pass will grant prospective yogis and yoginis access to more than 50 weekly yoga classes, ranging from a basic course focusing on breathing techniques, meditation, and posture to intense, heated Baptiste power-hour yoga designed to increase tone, flexibility, and balance. Whether you want to stand taller, bend over backward, or open a pickle jar taped to your back, you'll find a suitable yoga class on the All That Matters schedule. Led by founding teacher Kendall Sheldon, All That Matters' army of certified instructors have experience ranging from prenatal and child instruction to tai chi. The studios are equipped with mats, but feel free to bring your own if you wish. Drop-ins are welcome, but be sure to arrive a few minutes early.
All That Matters also specializes in delivering acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, and other holistic services. The boutique store purveys a variety of health and lifestyle goods, such as PrAna yoga wear, world music, and Swami-adorned onesie pajamas. For customers arriving via automobile or rocket-horse, two public parking lots are available in the neighborhood.
All That Matters
Joan Dwyer opened All That Matters as a yoga studio in 1995. While it still averages 10 yoga classes a day and 3 weekly meditation sessions, the past 20 years have seen Joan's practice also expand into a full-service holistic healthcare hub that includes massage, reiki, and reflexology—welcoming an estimated 1,000 visitors each week. In the pursuit of more education opportunities for participants, the center hosts workshops on meditation, animal communication, and other skills. The center also offers opportunities for clients to grow and attain inner peace with trainings and workshops on topics ranging from yogic philosophy, to past lives to stress management.
