Predictable movement, such as walking, sitting down, and gutting fish with bare hands, makes a person uninteresting and can result in going unnoticed for long stretches of time. Today's Groupon adds new motion to the body's vocabulary with five dance classes for adults, teens, or kids at American Dance Institute for $30 (a $70 value). New students can choose from more than 60 classes a week in the styles of flamenco, hip-hop, ballroom, toddler pop-locking, and more, taught by seasoned instructors who transform feet into something more than mere shoe racks. Your Groupon even gets you into individual classes that are typically part of a seasonal session.
The American Dance Institute has left its dancing doors ajar for more than 20 years, instilling the techniques of a variety of dance forms in the limbs of pupils. Today's Groupon invites you to mix and match styles with a series of classes, including musical theater, the percussive rhythms of tap dance, the swinging-waltzing-fox-trotting of ballroom dance, hip-hop, Irish step dance, flamenco, ballet, jazz, modern dance, as well as parent-child classes like nurturing baby. There's also a wide variety of children's classes such as pre-ballet (ages 5–7), hip-hop (6–12), Irish step dance (4–12), and creative dance (3.5–5).
Rediscover the Spanish meters that dominated your college-dorm dancing days or try a style that's gone untapped with classes scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening seven days a week, plus the secret eighth day you can only reach by falling asleep with your eyes open. Classes place students in motivated environments of fellow steppers as everyone learns how to use his or her muscles and tendons in the most fluid, graceful, and aerobic ways, balancing exercise with physical expression and dancing shoes.
A child with no ballet experience can only attend a class in Ballet I, and only if he or she can attend prior to the fourth week of a current session. The first available session will start after June 19. Those with experience can enter any ballet class at any time.
