What You'll Get
Like a bottle of fine champagne, antique cars should be prominently displayed and only taken outside if they’re being slammed into the bow of a majestic yacht. Feast your eyes on worthy collectibles with today’s Groupon. For $20, you get four tickets to the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum in Hershey (up to a $40 value).
Featuring more than 70,000 square foot of space, the Antique Automobile Club of America is a Smithsonian affiliate that houses more than 100 historic cars, an entire floor of buses, and 25 varieties of motorbike. With highly detailed dioramas spread throughout the facility, the museum's stellar collection and exhibitions evoke several historical memories, like when tailfins and chrome were in style or when Lyndon Johnson drove the Wienermobile around the White House. Inspect the 1935 Autocar Atlantic Tank Truck or pump some iron with the Betty White’s 1977 Cadillac Seville. Many exhibits include hands-on interactive features, which should pry kids away from the Hershey's Kissmobile and pry adults away from the Lakeland bus from Forrest Gump.
Museum is closed December 24–25, 2010; January 1, 2011; and November 24, 2011.
Ten TripAdvisors give the Antique Automobile Museum an average of four owl eyes:
- The collection they have on display is quite extensive and beautifull [sic]. I would definitely recommend this museum [sic] to automobile enthusists [sic] or people like my parents who remember when these vehicles were standard transportation. – squashirt1, TripAdvisor
- This is one of the best collections of cars, trucks, and buses I have ever seen. – Yankee_Biker, TripAdvisor
