Fun piece to make but the teacher was rude to my teenage daughter with a learning disability. Not a pleasant experience

We did the nightlight "workshop". First people should know it's not a "workshop", when you get there you're sat down at a table with some quick directions and then left there to do what you want. Which for us, was fine but for some people looking for more direction/instruction, they may not like that. Next, you don't actually receive your finished project until at least 2 weeks later. SO, if you're looking to do something for a gift..... plan ahead. Last, one of our projects ended up getting messed up between us leaving, and receiving the finished product. We had expressed our concern about what might happen when the glue was sprayed on, but were overall ignored. It was frustrating to spend an hour working on something meticulously to only have it end up looking terrible, and not the way you left it. Overall, below average experience.

This is a unique, fun & playful opportunity to create your own mosaic tile from colorful pieces of glass! Relaxed environment, friendly & knowledgeable shop owner. Definitely try it! Take your own liquid/food (not available there or nearby).

I enjoy going and making crafty mosaic tiles but it certainly isn't learning a skill. It's digging through bins of broken leftover glass from other projects. Anyone can make one from 6-106 years old. No talent is needed. To really do stain glass, you need to sign up for the real course...not the mosaic tile.

About Art Glass Studio

Roberta's completed her first foray into glass art in 1979 with a stained-glass sun-catcher. Though this pursuit began as a hobby, she loved it so much that she soon leaped into a one-year glass-making apprenticeship—and the following year, she opened her first stained-glass studio. In the decades since, Roberta has crafted pieces ranging from sun-catchers to church windows. Today, as the owner of Art Glass Studio, she ships her custom glass works across the country and abroad—but also finds the time to hold art classes. Tailored to students of all experience levels, these workshops introduce the basic techniques needed to create colorful, whimsical glass arts, such as fused jewelry, mosaics, and stained-glass windows. Roberta provides hands-on instruction and all the necessary tools in each class.
