The word asylum carries different connotations: a place of refuge, a place to get well. This asylum, however, is a place of terror. A long-forgotten passage from the Nightmare Factory drops visitors into Gordon Cottinham's Hospital for the Mentally Insane. Throughout a 15,000-square-foot tangle of corridors, insane denizens torture fellow patients, their screams forming a horror-filled symphony as visitors navigate their way through the dank and damp rooms. Those lucky enough to survive can breathe a sigh of relief... but only for a moment, as a second haunted attraction awaits to deliver even more chills.

The Asylum is so terrifying, it's been named one of the spookiest in the US by the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, and Hauntworld magazine. Each year, the staff changes up the layout and design, so regular visitors will always be surprised.
