What You'll Get
Humankind's ability to float demonstrates its superiority over rocks, whose embarrassing dependency on water wings makes it impossible for them to endure middle-school swimming class. Revel in buoyant splendor with today's Groupon: for $35, new clients get a one-hour floatation session at At Peace Floatation and Massage in Colleyville (a $75 value).
One of the only floatation spas located in North Texas, At Peace draws a warm bath mixed with 800 pounds of Epsom salts to create a calming, weightless environment capable of banishing physical and mental ailments to remote Atlantic islands. Upon arrival, each visitor is escorted to his or her own private tank, filled with 10–12 inches of cozy bath water kept at body temperature to blur the line between skin and salty solution. The dissolved Epsom salts draw out toxins from the skin while increasing the water's density, making it easier to calmly float on the surface. Aside from serving as an effective means of achieving deep relaxation, the therapeutic benefits of the tank include arthritis relief, muscle-pain reduction, and speedy healing from sports injuries and Wampa attacks.
Floatation therapy is swimsuit-optional, and packs the restorative properties of about four hours of sleep into a convenient one-hour session. Each room is equipped with its own shower, dressing area, and spa, while in-tank light and music switches allow floaters to customize their comfort. The tanks themselves are filtered several times between uses to ensure a safe, sterile environment. First-time floaters should read through the checklist of helpful tips and important information before their visit. Groupon holders can also take advantage of a 10% discount or $15 off the regular price of a massage, pairing tender muscles with well-seasoned, stress-free minds and bodies.
New clients only. Closed Tuesdays. Appointment must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
Though reviews are limited, At Peace Floatation Spa does have many positive testimonials on its website:

- I thought it was incredibly relaxing…a very nice escape from the everyday stress that life presents us with. – Ashley Roe

About At Peace Floatation & Massage Spa
Nothing is happening inside At Peace Flotation & Massage Spa's float spas—at least not as far as the eye or ear can tell. But change is still taking place. As bodies float inside a lightproof, soundproof flotation spa atop skin-temperature water made buoyant by 800 pounds of epsom salts, the mind sinks into deep relaxation. Spa staff finds that a one-hour session can impart the same restful feeling as four hours of sleep in a bath of warm milk and soothe the symptoms of chronic back pain, fatigue, high blood pressure, asthma, and jet lag.
Alongside At Peace's two private float suites—complete with showers and dressing areas—treatment rooms house independent massage therapists well-versed in a range of therapeutic styles. Swedish massage utilizes long and glissading strokes to improve circulation, and deep-tissue massage relies on penetrative kneads to release pent-up pressure. Therapists also specialize in prenatal, sports, orthopedic, aromatherapy, and chair massage.
