What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
The Andrew White School of Music (AWSOM) is one of the fastest growing music schools in the Pacific Northwest. We offer lessons to over 100 students around Seattle and the Eastside in the comfort of their own homes.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
We will provide you with everything you need during your lesson. If you don’t have a guitar yet, our experienced teacher will be sure to bring one for you during the lesson. All we ask is students are ready for a fun, interesting, and musically captivating 45 minutes of rocking out on the guitar!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
AWSOM was founded in January 2014 when Andrew, the founder, saw the need for music lessons in students’ homes. At the time, Andrew had 65 students and a wait list that was growing like crazy. So, in came John, another piano teacher to help out. And now we have Michaud teaching the guitar.

What do you love most about your job?
We love getting to bring the sound of music into so many homes around Seattle and the Eastside. Getting to spend time showing children and adults how an instrument works and how best to play it is an eye-opening thing that can captivate them for the rest of their life!
