About Bacon Nation
When Bacon Nation first made its debut as a food stand at the Canadian National Exhibition, it became clear that the staff members weren't the only ones who wanted bacon on everything. Diners were so wowed by the crazy yet tasty combinations, such as Nutella and bacon, that Bacon Nation soon occupied a food truck, then grew into a brick-and-mortar shop where they serve bacon for literally every meal. Here's a sampling of the crazy bacon concoctions you'll drool over:
A simple bacon and eggs meal is always available, but the weekend brunch menu offers unique and savory dishes such as the Southern Style Benny. BBQ pulled pork and poached eggs are topped with hollandaise sauce and served in a brioche bun; a side of mixed greens or home fries also come with the brunch menu's signature dish. Other choices include the Nutella-stuffed buttermilk pancake served with banana slices; french toast with bacon bits and icing sugar; and the breakfast poutine—home fries with cheese curds, a sunny side up egg, maple bacon, and hollandaise sauce.
The food truck pops up all around Toronto, most notably at festivals and rallies. Thick-cut bacon stix make for a great on-your-feet snack, while the caramel bacon cheesecake comes packed handily in a mason jar.
The Pig Mac takes a porky spin on the fast-food classic with strips of maple bacon and a bacon-studded brioche bun. Those who want to balance bacon's sinfulness might opt for a sandwich made with turkey bacon and avocado.
