A city is a place of tremendous variety, usually constructed upon rock ‘n’ roll. Plumb the secret depths of Denver with today's Groupon: for $10, you get one adult ticket to Banjo Billy's Bus Tours (a $20 value). Your Groupon is good for any of the Denver tours, but is not valid for private tours or ghost tours in October.
During the 90-minute sightseeing trip, engaging tour guides regale bus patrons with historical tidbits, ghost stories, and true-crime chronicles. Learn the story of Molly Brown and how the city was within a few votes of being named Denversaurus Rex as you amble through the city in Banjo Billy's ramped-up, rehabbed bus. Reminiscent of a backwoods shack on wheels, the bus's interior features a psychedelic canopy, funky lighting, and a disco ball. The original bus seats were removed and replaced with comfy couches, recliners, and saddles to effectively kick up the kicked-back vibe. Seating is first-come first-serve, so arrive at least 10 minutes in advance to claim your preferred seat.
Start your journey by meeting up at the Colorado Convention Center by the Big Blue Bear. Tours usually start at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. throughout the year, but check the ticket page for the most up-to-date tour information. Use your Groupon to book your trip online, or call ahead to make reservations for friends, family, and well-behaved stuffed animals.

Banjo Billy's Bus Tours
Since 2005, Banjo Billy's Bus Tours have been taking place inside two old school buses. The seats have been ripped out and replaced with comfy chairs and couches, and even a leather saddle. The buses resemble hillbilly shacks, and are often filled with guest eager for real stories of the history of Boulder and Denver, with plenty of laughs thrown in. Banjo Billy's Bus Tours have been featured on NPR's "Nickel Tour" series.
