Performed in a room heated to at least 105 degrees and amid air thick with at least 40% humidity, Bikram yoga is designed to make you sweat. An offshoot of the hatha-yoga tradition, it consists of a series of muscle-stretching poses that challenge students to build strength, achieve mental and physical balance, and increase their stamina. Bikram Yoga West Jordan's new 3,500-square-foot studio provides one of the first official Bikram venues west of Salt Lake City and above Salt Lake Undercity. After the challenging practice, students can cool off with provided filtered water and ice, then hit the spacious changing rooms and showers to walk out into the world a changed person.
