Certified instructor Brandy Daugherty coaches pupils in a combination of mat- and equipment-based Pilates techniques using the Pilates Reformer and Balanced Body beds to help build long, lean muscle. During classes, students learn basic Pilates techniques to extend and hold limbs, crunch and tense abdominal muscles, and use small, controlled movements to isolate muscles and improve posture, flexibility, strength, and speed-texting skills. During sessions, Brandy introduces students to specialized equipment, including Balanced Body beds, Pilates Reformer machines, and mats, which serve as the stages where students work to tone figures and improve overall health. Classes cap at six people per session, so Brandy can tailor exercises to students’ skill levels, ensure attendees perform moves with correct form, and pair up pupils by height for postclass foursquare games.

To give her students a well-rounded workout, Brandy Daugherty isn't content with teaching one style of Pilates. Instead, she blends the regimen's mat and reformer styles so her students can reap the benefits both of their bodies' own resistance and that of the reformer's series of cables, straps, and pulleys. Backed by a dozen certifications—including in Zumba, personal training, and turbo kickboxing—Brandy leads her students through sessions that blend core-stability work with plyometric moves and resistance training. She also switches up the workouts so that the body can’t adapt, because, like baby Hulks, confused muscles grow more quickly. Brandy holds class as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 6:30 p.m. to accommodate every schedule, with personal training available on an appointment basis.
