I love it!! Perfect dessert. The shave ice melts as soon as it touches your tongue, and I always add a scoop of vanilla ice cream

Newly opened shave-ice shop doles out more than 30 flavors of glacial delights comprising pure sugar-cane syrups & delectable fillings

Life is scarce in the frozen tundra due to its short growing season, inescapable snow, and lack of flavored syrups. Traverse a more tongue-friendly terrain with today's Groupon: for $10, you get a punch card good for five regular shave ices with fillings at Brian's Shave Ice (up to a $20 value).

Brian's Shave Ice recently opened its doors to introduce authentic Hawaiian-style treats to globetrotting taste buds, cooling palates with more than 30 flavors and a smorgasbord of delectable fillings. Their glacial delights fill flower-shaped cups past the brim, serenading sweet teeth with sugar-cane syrups imported from Hawaii, including black-cherry, piña-colada, lychee, and orange-creamsicle varieties. Guests can also guiltlessly indulge in sweet, sugar-free syrups containing Splenda. A selection of unique fillings—such as Dole Whip, which is a pineapple soft-serve—burrows inside shave-ice goodies to surprise spoons more effectively than a fork hiding in the bushes.

Though Brian’s Shave Ice sometimes features a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

About Brian's Shave Ice

Everything about Brian’s Shave Ice evokes the tropics: the bright mural of surfboard and palm trees on the wall, the tiki-style furniture, and syrups made of cane sugar flown in from Hawaii. The sweet sauces decorate spheres of fine snow crafted using ice shavers from Japan. Their flavors have included watermelon, mocha frappe, and a strawberries-and-cream flavor with strawberry syrup that’s made in house. Patrons can opt to fill their ice balls with azuki beans, creamy dollops of ice cream, or mochi—a dulcet rice paste that assumes a pleasant chewiness when chilled. Shelves in the shop brim with intriguing ingredients, including green-tea paste, pearls of tapioca, Ghiradelli chocolate, and organic acai. Brian’s also serves cones of Dole Whip, a pineapple-flavored soft-serve treat normally difficult to find outside of Oahu, Disneyland, or kitchens where somebody is trying to figure out what a platypus eats.
